TAKE CARE OF YOUR VAGINA

 It is of utmost importance that you take care of your health, especially when it comes to your sensitive areas or intimate areas.

What is the vagina?

The vagina is part of the female genitalia. Needless to say, that any compromise with the vagina's health and hygiene may land you on a serious health issue related to the uterus health. To make sure that your vagina is healthy, and hygiene, you can follow some rules or methods as mentioned below-

1.Keep note of what you eat-Adding yogurt to your diet help prevent yeast infections, consuming nuts such as almonds, are healthy for vaginal walls, especially when it comes to have a smooth penetration,and also provide the vagina with good bacteria.

2.Monthly discharge - Make sure you change your pads or tampons or whatever you use, in every four to six hours to prevent occurrence of unnecessary bacteria and fungal infections, and also bad odors.

3.Always opt for lukewarm water for intimate wash- You should always wash your vagina with warm water, especially when you are on your periods,to prevent irritation and rashes. Avoid using scented soaps and gels for intimate wash because the chemicals are vulnerable to vaginal health.

4.Using cotton underwear - Fabrics like silk can keep air from circulating and lock in moisture, as a result, your vagina will feel suffocated and may release bad bacteria. You must stick to looser cotton pants, rather than tight ones. Also, keep note that you wash your pants with warm water.

5.In case of vaginal infection - Yeast infection in vagina is caused by an overgrowth of fungus that naturally lives in the vagina. It's overgrowth triggers irritation, itching and painful discharge. If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, immediately visit a gynaecologist to verify if you really have a yeast infection. If you are pregnant, you should not use boric acid in any form.

Now, what is boric acid?

Boric acid is recommended by many doctors as treatment for vaginal infections. Boric acid is toxic and can lead to kidney damage or death if you absorb enough of it. Those who have sensitive skin, boric acid may not be a good choice. Home remedies include use of oregano oil, which is a natural blood thinner. (Don't use oregano oil if you have blood clotting issues)

Coconut oil has antifungal properties, if you opt for coconut oil for vaginal infection treatment, make sure you buy pure, organic coconut oil and apply it directly to the affected area. 

Lastly, garlic, which is shown to be an effective bacteria killer. Add more garlic to your diet if you want your vagina healthy, both internally and externally.
